As we come to the close of this year’s wildfire season, we at the Millard County Sheriff's Office would like to give a much deserved thank you to all of our firefighting resources. Due to their quick action and expert fire suppression skills, we have avoided a major wildland fire so far. There were many fires that had the potential to become large scale fires, but were quickly suppressed by our amazing fire units. Our sincere thanks go out to the Garrison/Eskdale, Leamington, Lynndyl, Hinckley, Delta, Oak City, Scipio, Holden, Fillmore, Meadow, Kanosh, Cove Fort Fire Departments, and our local Interagency Fire crews. Most of these folks are volunteers and sacrifice their own time to serve on these exemplary units. We ask those in the community to give each of these fine firefighters a thank you as you have the chance.
