    Bail and Bondsman

Persons accused of a crime are allowed temporary release from jail if they are able to post bail. Bail is defined as the amount of money or property used as collateral with the court to guarantee the appearance of the defendant during his or her trial. Once posted, the bail is subject to forfeit if the defendant violates any of the conditions set by the court.

For those unable to afford the bail amount, a bondsman can be secured to post the bail. He or she will also be held responsible by the court if the defendant does not follow the conditions of the bail. In return for these services, the defendant must pay the bondsman a non-refundable fee, usually 10% of the bail amount.

Tom from Sly Bail Bonds took time to listen to our problems coming up with all the money for bail. He worked out a plan we were able to do. "We Really Care" Philosophy that seems sadly absent with many local bail companies that we spoke to before finding Sly Bail bonds. PS... My son's charges were dropped when we went to court! Thanks everyone.
