Important Jail Policies and Procedures:

Inmates at the Fairfield County Jail are allowed visitations with family and friends through video. All visitors will need to go to the Minimum Security Jail (MSJ) facility at 342 West Wheeling Street in Lancaster. A photo ID must be presented when checking in with the deputy assigned to Central Control. Visitation booths in the lobby area of the MSJ facility contain a video monitor where visitors will be able to see and talk to the inmate. Inmates are allowed 2 15-minute visits or 1 30-minute visit per week.

Visitation is open seven (7) days a week from 8:30 am to 9:00 pm.  Visitation is suspended during lunch (10:30 am to 12:00 pm) and dinner meals (5:00 pm to 6:30 pm).

*Please note that inmate workers are allowed to receive visitors at the jail they are assigned to. Visitors for inmate workers in the Main St. Jail can visit only on Sundays from 12 noon to 3pm. Visitors for inmate workers assigned to the MSJ facility will follow the above schedule.
