Sex Offender Search and Lookup:
A person charged and found guilty of a sex crime is ordered by law to register in the sex offender database of the state he or she resides in as well as in the National Sex Offender Public Website maintained by the US Department of Justice. Both registries are provided as a safety resource to the public to help promote safety and awareness. A sex crime is generally defined as an illegal act that involves illegal, forced, or coerced sexual conduct against another individual such as rape, sex trafficking, and child pornography. Certain offenses that are considered sex-related such as indecent exposure may be classified as a sex crime in some states. If you want to know if there are any sex offenders living in Clermont County, you can visit.
Please keep in mind that while the state of Mississippi tries to keep the information in the database as accurate and complete as possible, they cannot guarantee this. There may be discrepancies in the information because a sex offender failed to comply with the law. Some search results may show an incomplete address such as only the block where he lives on or just the offender’s previous address.
Bail and Bondsman
The Lincoln County Jail allows the temporary release of an inmate who is awaiting trial as long as he is able to post bail. Bail is the amount of money set by the court to guarantee that the inmate will return once the trial begins. If an individual fails to appear, the money will be kept by the court. Individuals who cannot afford to pay the bail may use the services of a bondsman. For a non-refundable fee, the bondsman will secure the defendant’s release and be held responsible for paying the entire bond if the defendant skips bail. The fee is usually no more than 10% of the bail amount.
