It may be filed with the court administrator during regular business hours and also with the custodian of the jail. In cases where bail has been set by the court and the defendant has provided a bail bond with corporate surety, approval by a judge is unnecessary if the bond conforms to Form 702 as published by the state court overseer.

Whenever a bail bond is forfeited by a judge, the surety and bondsman shall be informed by the court overseer in writing, and be directed to make payment in accordance with the terms of the bond within ninety (90) days from the date of the order of forfeiture. With the Holidays approaching - we know you will be spending some time shopping this weekend which will most likely continue for the next month (unless you are already done with your shopping!). Just a reminder to make sure you are not leaving shopping bags and valuables in the open in your vehicles. We continue to do extra patrols and knock on doors when garage doors are left open at night. We are out there and working each night to protect you and your home. Although we do our best to eliminate these types of crimes by being visible and patrolling our neighborhoods, we cannot be everywhere at once which creates windows of opportunity. We are asking that you help protect yourself with these simple suggestions and we will continue to provide the service we have taken an oath to give, and together we can take away these opportunities!
- Lock your doors at night -
- Secure your valuables out of sight and behind locked doors
- Do not leave valuables in your vehicle at night
- Close your garage door before dark each night
- Leave your exterior lights on
- Do not leave firearms in your vehicle
- When "warming" your vehicle on cold mornings, make sure it is locked
- Call us with suspicious activity you may see in your neighborhood

We have taken multiple calls today for thefts from unlocked vehicles and garages in Mahtomedi. We cannot stress enough the importance of locking your doors and securing valuables out of sight. Leaving doors unlocked is an invitation. These crimes are committed by those who are literally "car shopping". They are going from house to house looking for open doors. We have picked up on the which serves as a reminder to lock your doors at 9PM each night. (check it out on Twitter) That smartphone you have could also be helpful if you set a reminder each night to lock it up!!
