It may be filed with the court administrator during regular business hours and also with the custodian of the jail. In cases where bail has been set by the court and the defendant has provided a bail bond with corporate surety, approval by a judge is unnecessary if the bond conforms to Form 702 as published by the state court overseer.

Whenever a bail bond is forfeited by a judge, the surety and bondsman shall be informed by the court overseer in writing, and be directed to make payment in accordance with the terms of the bond within ninety (90) days from the date of the order of forfeiture. Registration is now open for Youth Snowmobile Safety Training. Click the link below for more information and to register with the Scott County Sheriff's Office.

“We all want everyone to be able to get out and enjoy our Minnesota winters, especially our young people. That’s why it is so important that they be adequately trained on how to safely operate snowmobiles – just like with driver’s education to operate a vehicle. Safety should always be our first priority.”

Safety is everyone's responsibility! Motorists who fail to stop for a school bus with red lights flashing and stop arm extended can get up to a $3000 fine and a year in jail!

This video, from an incident in Rosemount last year, shows how dangerous it can be when this law is violated. The driver of the truck was located and charged.

Stop arm violations are unacceptable; motorists must stop at least 20 feet from a school bus displaying red flashing lights and/or its arm is extended for both those approaching from behind the bus and those traveling in the opposing direction.

Keep our kids safe, respect the bus!
